Our Services

Paul Funeral Home offers a full range of service items for your selection.  We are able to assist the family in creating a service that is meaningful and affordable.

  • Tradition Chapel or Church Service
  • Graveside Service
  • Visitation at the funeral home or other facility
  • Cremation
  • Memorial Service
  • Funeral Pre-planning

When discussing funeral or cremation arrangements, you will be given a General Price List (GPL).  The GPL lists the prices for all service items including price ranges for caskets, vaults and urns.

The total funeral expenses will be the sum of all service items selected from the GPL, the casket, vault (or urn) and sales tax.  Cash advance items may be added such as opening and closing of the grave, paid obituaries, honorariums, flowers and certified copies of the death certificate.

When arranging a funeral with PFH, we do our best to personalize the service as much as possible.

Paul Funeral Home can also assist with the purchase of a marker, mausoleum, grave ledger, or cutting the date of death on an existing monument.  Your funeral director will assist your needs in this area as well.

Our staff will assist with providing the following:

SOCIAL SECURITY
We will notify Social Security of a death.  This will aid in discontinuing monthly checks.  If you are entitled to benefits, please call Social Security at 252-946-0117 or 1-800-772-1213.

VETERAN’S BENEFITS
We will file applications for a flag, marker and cash burial benefits.  If you have questions about dependent and/or survivor benefits, call the Beaufort County Veterans Service Officer at 252-946-8016.  We can install the VA marker in most cemeteries for a nominal fee.
You must have a copy of the DD-214, Honorable Discharge Form, to make application for any Veteran’s benefits.

INSURANCE
Insurance companies generally require claimant’s statements and death certificates.  Our staff is familiar with the process and will assist you on filing for life insurance claims.

WILLS & PROBATE
Take the will to the Estates and Probate Division of the Clerk of Court which is located in the courthouse.  If there is no will, the closest relatives need to go to this same office to qualify to settle the estate.  The estate office will assist you, even in the event that there is no estate.  You can reach the Clerk of Court at 252-946-5184 or the Estates Division at 252-974-7821.

FUNERAL WEBCASTING

We understand that illness, distance, or other committments can sometimes keep us from attending a funeral service of a loved one. To help bring families together during their time of need. We now offer funeral webcasting which allows those that cannot attend the service in person to be able to view the funeral service "live" on our website or for up to 30 days following the service.
