Mrs. Sabrah Elizabeth Laughinghouse Kirkman, 94, a former resident of Beaufort County, died Monday, July 26, 2010 at Chowan Hospital in Edenton, NC.
A funeral service will be held 2:00PM Thursday July 29, 2010 at Paul Funeral Home of Washington officiated by Pastor Marion Hammonds and Pastor Gary Thompson. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Kirkman was born on November 25, 1915 to the late Herbert Laughinghouse and Ethel McRoy Laughinghouse. She was married to Gussie Kirkman, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Kirkman was a home maker and a member of Snowd Branch Church of God.
Mrs. Kirkman is survived by a son: Roy Lee Kirkman and wife Lula Belle of Edenton, NC; a sister; Beatrice Gladson of Vanceboro, NC; seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Kirkman is preceded in death by two sons; Clinton Kirkman and James Kirkman, a brother; Tommy Laughinghouse, two sisters; Minnie Boyd, Gladys Cratch and one grandson; Robbie Kirkman.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-1:45pm Thursday July 29, 2010 at Paul Funeral Home of Washington.
